Fares4Free outreach driver, John Symes, had the honour of taking Clare and her support dog Callie to Dobbies Garden Centre in Stirling recently. This was Callie's external assessment which she passed with flying colours. The trip was a great success and Callie did everyone proud on the big day.
Callie still has 3 months of on going training and development to try and master the following 3 skills:
- being able to pick up her own lead
- being able to help Clare pick up her stick
- being able to support Clare in feeling safe
Sarah, the Bravehound Operations and Welfare manager had the following to say, "Being able to use an organisation like Fares4Free who use a person centred approach really helps our service users relax and feel safe while joining in with the Bravehound community".
The Fares4Free team are all dog lovers, and enjoy supporting Bravehound where ever they can in the great work they do helping many Veterans like Clare. You can access the Bravehound website by clicking here.
