Some Highland Veterans enjoying a nice lunch in Inverness...

Fares4Free and Legion Scotland recently launched a new collaborative working partnership and the results so far have been terrific.  With the aim of supporting Veterans and their families within Grampian and parts of the Highlands, the project has already seen some great results.  The photograph above is from a recent Veterans lunch which was held in Inverness on Friday 14th October 2022.

Leon Fisher, the Fares4Free Operations Manager who is running the project had the following comments to make, "Working with Legion Scotland really is a huge privilege and I cannot sing the praises of Emily Clark, The Legion Scotland Veterans Community Support Coordinator for the North of Scotland enough.  Emily's commitment to the Veteran Community is outstanding and coupled with her professionalism, work ethos and exuberant personality, she really is the driving force behind this project.  It's a delight working alongside her."

The plan over the coming months is for Tam Douglas, The Royal British Legion Scotland, Veterans Community Support Manager, and Leon Fisher to visit Emily in person to support her delivery of the many activities she has planned.  If anyone would like to join in and enjoy some company participating in any of these activities please contact Legion Scotland at support@legionscotland.org.uk or call 0131 550 1560.
