Fares4Free are delighted to announce that they have recently been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, made possible by National Lottery players.
The National Lottery Community Fund, Scotland Chair, Kate Still had the following to say:
“National Lottery funding can make amazing things happen in local communities across the country. This project delivered by Fares4Free, is a great example of community activity in action, showing just what can be achieved when people come together for a common cause or to help others."
“ National Lottery players can be proud to know that the money they raise is helping to support this vital work which is making a real difference to so many.”
Marie Crombie, Chief Executive Officer at Fares4Free who has been working closely with The National Lottery Community Fund since taking over the reigns made the following comment:
"The impact that my team delivers on a daily basis targets the grass roots of the communities that we support, and I cannot emphasise enough how proud I am of them all. The overall 360 degree impact is often overlooked however the added value that our More Than a Journey Model brings to the grass routes of the communities we support is profound."
"Whether we are supporting unpaid carers with much needed respite, increasing continued engagement at local community activities, or whatever request falls our way, none of this would be possible without the continued support of the The National Lottery Community Fund and ultimately the National Lottery players themselves, who I cannot thank enough."
