Fares4Free Beneficiary Steering Group Recruiting Now

Listening to the voice of our beneficiaries is key...

Fares4Free are delighted to announce that we have launched a Beneficiary Steering Group to ensure the views of our beneficiaries are correctly heard.  The whole premise behind this group is that it provides a safe space for honest and constructive feedback, which will be fed back to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Trustees directly, who can then truly understand and more importantly listen to the voice of our service users.

We are delighted to announce that this Beneficiary Steering Group will be chaired by Helen Bolland, one of our first ever Fares4Free service user, a Royal Air Force Veteran since 2008 and a survivor and active spokeswomen of Military Sexual Trauma (MST).  Helen is dedicated to ensuring equality and diversity for all veterans and we are so pleased she has agreed to take on this new and exciting role.

If you are interested in becoming a participant and meet the following criteria:

- A previous or current service user (or family member) of Fares4Free who has used our service within the last 12 months

- One of our collaborative partners who has used our service within the last 12 months

- And you have no family connections or direct links to anyone who works or volunteers with Fares4Free

Then please get in touch today with the Fares4Free Operations Manager, Leon Fisher via email at leon@fares4free.org or by calling him on 07821 679 647.

We particularly welcome applications from women, LGBT+ people, young people, people with disabilities and those from minority ethnic communities.

Meetings will take place once every 3 months for approximately 1 hour, either via Microsoft Teams or in person at our Head Office, Logie Green Road, New Haig House, Edinburgh, EH7 4HQ and our first meeting, planned for April 2024 will be a meet and greet introduction to establish terms or reference as a committee moving forward.
